Raiden Legacy App Reviews

I just bought and played this game for 10 minutes so far. I have been waiting for this game to be made. I love the arcade hits like this. The programmers have made this game well, however, I must complain about the game play difficulty. I dont recall the arcade being this hard right off the bat. Especially for a small screen like the iPhone. As good as the game is, there is no point in making it that difficult so it cant be enjoyed. I suggest allowing for a easy level selection, and I dont just mean providing more credits. The game play itself should be a bit easier. If this suggestion is incorporated on the next update, I will provide a 5 star rating like it deserves. Other than that well done team!

Great game. I found raiden difficulty is set too high. What about raiden 2? Please add this as an upgrade. I cannot believe this is available in the App Store. Bought it the second I saw it. Awesome....

I love arcade shooters, especially vertical ones. I downloaded this as soon as this came out and have been taking chunks out of it.Honing reflexes and training memory, this is what gaming is all about. The new controls are great 200 percent works amazing on the iPad as I dont have to move my hand so much. The ratio basically allows for more travel of the airplane and less moving of the finger. I have to be honest I think I like playing this way better then with an arcade joystick or a gamepad. And I have been gaming for years now. Keep bringing shooters like this! It would be great to progress through mission mode instead of arcade so that I could play them where I left off. Ad for a challenge maybe have some kind of check list whereI would see the highest difficulty I completed stages at.

The game itself is good, but the difficulty is too high. Should definitely slow the game down for mobile devices

Id say that Im a pretty big shmup fan. I have a pretty solid collection for my home consoles and have tried out some of the more popular shmups on the App Store. I was drawn to Raiden Legacy because Ive always loved playing the Raiden arcade cabinets and still play them every now and then near my work, in local bars, etc. If youre looking for a graphically beautiful game on iOS then you might be slightly disappointed. These are the arcade originals to the core. But the graphics to me are what makes this game a must-own. This collection is worth every penny. The gameplay still stands up. The nostalgia factor is through the roof. Its pretty awesome to have all of these games in the palm of my hands. Get it now while its still on sale. Highly recommended!

Ive never played the original Raiden games so I thought Id give this package a try. My first impression is that the game is good, but upon playing more I found the controls to be somewhat sluggish. Even after adjusting the control settings, the movement just doesnt seem to be 100% responsive. I compare this to the games by Cave, and they seem to have gotten their controls tight and right. Also when playing on the iPhone my finger obscures some of the screen. You need to add a space at the bottom of the screen where you can position your finger and control movement without blocking any of the screen.

The game has so much potential but I find that even on easy mode, the game is still too hard. I think the reason for this like others said is because game speed is too fast. I agree because bullets come in way too fast ! To make matters worst, 80% of the time I notice that its very difficult to see enemy projectiles because the player bullets take up a huge portion of the screen. Please fix it or you get 3 stars.

A great port of 4 shooter classics. Just a few negatives. Like others have said, enemy bullets rain down on you almost as fast as yours go out! There seems to be no difference in difficulty levels from easy to hard. You just get more credits on the easier difficulty levels, thats it. Also, why give me the continue screen when I have no more credits to continue? Just skip it and go to the game over screen already!

Its a good port of the originals, and getting the whole series is great value. Control is a little difficult on the iPad

Great game. Got to try with icade game controller. Even better.
